Lucia's Story

I just wanted to let you know that Lucia walked her 15th year in the Walk for Animals on Saturday. Lucia is an IMHA survivor that was treated at the U of M vet clinic. She has been in remission since August of 2009. (I think she was pretty popular at the U of M Vet Med Center. We were there quite often.)

She moved at a pretty good pace for an old gal, during the walk! I'm pretty sure she was one of the oldest pets there and probably the only pet that had done as many as 15 consecutive walks.

I'm attaching a few photos. I made a sign for her that said "My 15th walk, and I'm an IMHA survivor" which got many people commenting and wondering how that was even possible.

Thanks again for the care your team gave to her when she was ill!
