Useful information
Emergency surgeries will be scheduled immediately. Elective cases are typically scheduled to arrive on the day prior to surgery to allow evaluation for anesthesia and adequate food withdrawal. However, same-day surgeries are possible for routine procedures in healthy horses.
Referral appointments for in-depth evaluation of lameness or performance problems often require serial nerve blocks, radiographs and performance observations. A complete evaluation often requires 4-5 hours. Clients are welcome to stay and observe the entire evaluation. However, trailer parking is available if clients would like to make use of the local shopping malls or other entertainment.
Feel free to call ahead to ask about estimates or with questions on selected procedures.
