Memories Garden

bricks in the memories garden during the summerLocated near the Veterinary Medical Center, the Memories Garden serves as a physical memorial to celebrate the bond we share with companion animals. The Garden provides families with a peaceful outdoor space for contemplation or to spend quiet time with their pets while visiting the VMC.

Donors who choose to honor their pets with a permanent brick in the garden can empathize in the great loss of a companion animal, and come together to create a support network for others. Each summer, pet families and care team members gather in the garden for a memorial service to remember these animals and to gently welcome those with recent losses.

The generosity of Memories Garden donors supports the garden and the Veterinary Social Services program in the VMC, which helps owners navigating pet health & behavior crises and supports families through loss and grief of their beloved animals.
