Veterinary Medical Center Diversity Initiative

This is an invitation for high school students and qualified applicants to seriously consider exploring Veterinary Medicine as a career choice. Our goal is to provide opportunities to qualifying recruits to explore the vast and wonderful community and field of Vet Med!

Opportunities for mentoring and education may include shadowing, internships, or employment at the Veterinary Medical Center. Employees are eligible for Regents Scholarships to enroll in classes at the U. Those interested in becoming a certified veterinary technician (animal nurse) will have the opportunity for a training scholarship. Those interested in becoming a veterinarian will receive mentoring and excellent experience, both needed for admission into vet school.
