  • Medical imaging services include: Standing CT, Standing MRI, 3Tesla MRI, 64 slice CT, Digital Radiography, Nuclear Scintigraphy, Ultrasound
  • Complete passive (palpation) and active (trotting, lunging, flexion tests, blocks, etc.) lameness exams by experience clinicians

Force plate analysis

Use of scientifically validated treatments and state of the art treatments such as Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy, Interleukin -1 Receptor Antagonist Protein (IRAP), , Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and stem cell injections

We take the guesswork out of breathing issues.  Early Intervention can prevent permanent damage.  Our experts have the tools, the time and the experience to get to the bottom of your horse’s respiratory or poor performance problems.  We provide solutions to help you both breathe easier by pinpointing the cause and designing the appropriate treatment.

We can addresses post injury management to tendons, ligaments, bone, muscle and post-operative surgeries in an effort to get your horse to return to normal function as possible, as quickly as possible.  At the Piper Equine Hospital, we are able to offer diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation all in one location.

About Your Medical Team

What to bring:

  • If your horse is insured, please bring the policy number and contact information for the agent/insurer.
  • If your animal has had previous radiographs, it can be very useful to bring those.
  • Wwe may ask you to bring your tack.
  • If your animal is staying with us, bring any medications or special feed they are being given.
  • Our evaluations are thorough and can take time. You may want to bring a good book or electronic device (wireless is available in the lobby)
  • Please leave other pets at home unless they can stay in the truck/trailer.
